Dingle town is nearby where you can avail of many Ecotours, enjoy the local Aquarium and Waterworld, or browse through the Kerry Museum.
Dingle Peninsula, Slea Head Drive, Blasket Islands, Killarney National Park, Ring of Kerry and Skellig Islands are all nearby.
Hillwalking – Hiking
Hiking is available literally from the front door with a huge variety to suit all grades of walker from 1 & 2 hr loops in the forest park to the well known Glanteenassig horseshoe walk (5-6 hrs). Once on to the Beenoskee range it is possible to walk on to Anascaul via the lake, to Glenahoo, to the Conor Pass and further a field to the Brandon ridge. Access to all the mountains of the Dingle peninsula is readily available by short car journey to the various start points, Mount Brandon, Stradbally, Beenoskee.
Guiding, training, transport & equipment for hillwalking, climbing and kayaking is also available by prior arrangement.

Kayaking and Surfing
There are numerous locations along the Dingle Peninsula to enjoy spectacular Sea Kayaking. The Blue Flag Maherees Beach near Castlegregory has played host to World Surfing competitions and is just a short hop from the cottage.
Golf and Fishing
Castlegregory Golf and Fishing Club is located in Stradbally, just a few short miles from the cottage.

Glanteenassig Wood Recreation Area is just 200 meters from the Cottage.
